Manuel Guanipa, a Boston Area Attorney

Manuel Guanipa focuses his practice on business law and general civil litigation. He has experience counseling institutional clients on matters involving contract review and negotiation, policy development, and litigation strategy.

After obtaining his law degree, Manuel joined the Office of the General Counsel of Northeastern University as an Attorney Fellow, where he represented the university in breach of contract, negligence, and other tort actions, obtaining favorable outcomes in Massachusetts courts. He has experience advising clients on a range of legal issues, including institutional compliance and risk management, and has played a key role in drafting and revising internal policies and agreements.

During his time in law school, he earned experience in Massachusetts’s litigation practices and procedures by working at different law firms that focused on the areas of criminal defense, commercial disputes, intellectual property, and corporate litigation.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Manuel worked as a paralegal at several Miami-based law firms, where he earned experience in the areas of federal appeals, real estate, employment, and business litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law, where he concentrated in Business Law and Intellectual Property, served as an editor on the Northeastern University Law Review, and held a leadership position in the Latin American Law Student Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Florida International University and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
